I am so happy with this treat from the sales of Johanna Basford Colouring Calendar that I wanted to tell you about it and show you how lovely her artwork is to colour.
This is a wonderful set of colouring to do, as you may know I love colouring , see the Whimsy Colouring challenge HERE and more Johanna talk Colouring Fun – Johanna Basford
There is something so calming and creative about colouring and there are some amazing results that can be had.
What I liked about the idea of this was that the pictures were smaller and I thought probably faster to colour, although it’s not a race I wanted to feel I had completed more pictures from my growing colouring collection.

Hi all, so good to catch up with you and I thought today I would do a bit of a ‘my latest’ type post, it feels like a good way to say hello and get you up to date with some of what is running around my head.
January is often not an easy month is it, I LOVE Christmas and as such although start the new year with a fresh start mentality I think it still is not the positive boost to me that November and December is, in fact I love Autumn so much and Winter can sometimes feel not as fun BUT I am determined to embrace every single season and its joys and what I love BEST about winter is the COSY aspect.
It is the season for warmth (even if its easy to feel a bit chilly) and for hot drinks (same in Summer though!) and for blankets see Crochet Fun HERE and in my case ‘slankets’ … more on that later.
I wanted to tell you what I am up to, reading, craft and more this January .

Work in progress – I guess that’s common to nearly all of us who get into crafts especially the yarn ones like my crochet!
I love crochet ..it is relaxing and yet poses a challenge regularly if you experiment with it …oh and the THINGS YOU CAN MAKE!
That’s half the trouble with craft – starting… it comes from being inspired…. and then you KEEP being inspired… and feel all excited for the next project as it looks so – usually cute – in my case.
Unless you spend almost full days on crochet it can be hard to do a make quickly .
For me, crochet is all about the relaxing – the process. ..and yet then I want results for my inspiration, but that does, of course, come with a lot of concentrating and time – when you crochet to relax – often I choose evenings to crochet too…then it means you are tired so that is why I love snugly fulfilling and colourful crochet blankets. …
I start 2017 with 4 works in progress – will I finish them all …not sure (and I am finding them a bit hard ) but do I want to start another YES!

I have been busy baking with the help of my trusty Kitchen Aid and a bit of CREATIVE INSPIRATION, to make a lovely (I hope, it’s in progress as I type,… raising on the kitchen table in the sun shine)… Turmeric and Cheese Loaf
I put my creative hat on metaphorically speaking and thought about WHAT would add a small delicate kick to what is a VERY LARGE batch of dough that I have created this morning in the kitchen, while overlooking my frosty garden on this cool day outside.

I love the Harry Potter Books and as such was keen to read the book of ‘Fantastic Beasts and where to find them’ by J K Rowling.
At Christmas I was lucky enough to be given the book, a lovely deep blue and gold look lettering, hardback, and it is of the screen play so reads in a very unusual way.I had high hopes.
Just finished reading it! and can really see ‘Newt’ as a Doctor Who…
